NIPT or Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing is a safe prenatal blood test to detect genetic abnormalities in the fetus by collecting a sample of the mother’s blood. Preparing for the NIPT test is relatively easy and does not require much special preparation.

      2. Physical preparation: There is usually no specific preparation for the NIPT test, but you should be comfortable and relaxed and wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to easily see the crook of your arm, as the blood sample will be drawn from your arm.
      3. General health check: If the mother is already in good general health, there is no need to prepare anything special. However, there are some cases where the NIPT test cannot be performed. If the mother is not sure, she can consult our experts on whether or not to perform the NIPT test.

      4. Diet: There are no dietary restrictions. Mothers can eat normally before the blood test.
      5. Exercise: There are no restrictions on exercise. Mothers can do their normal activities. However, after the blood test and for 1 day afterwards, they should avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting to reduce the chance of bruising/broken capillaries.
